FMP | Printed Textiles Image Distribution

Yesterday, after brief discussions in regards to the overall layout and image distribution used throughout the BA (Hons) Printed Textiles & Surface Pattern Design yearbook, we knew that, to ensure a fair distribution policy, not only would everyone in the yearbook have their own designated image space (either a square or rectangle), but we would also pick the order completely at random to control any allusion of bias in regards to the body copy it sits next to, or the order throughout the publication.

Of course, if some of the images or styles of work are either too similar or completely opposed to one another, we will reconsider the layout between a few pages, but, as shown in the PDF, this is the order, as randomly picked from names written down and drawn from a hat.

We hope that this will encourage and support the fair distribution policy, and be seen as a really positive direction by both the students and textiles team.

* Side note... Names (with correct spellings... as I've been made aware some are spelt incorrect... my own fault) will be taken directly from the originally sent names list from the Textiles Team and approved/proofed before finalising the design and body copy content.
