FMP | La Petit Macaron Brand Name

For the brief, I decided to name the boutique macaron patisserie 'La Petit Macaron', after various brainstorm sessions, and creating a shortlisted range of names from a copy writing perspective, names of which included:

* La Petit Macaron
* Macaron
* La Patisserie
* La Petite Boulangerie
* La Petite Macaron Patisserie
* Amour Macaron

Clearly, the names, although similar, have distinct differences. For me, the deciding factor for 'La Petit Macaron', was in striking the balance between a high end, and also very feminine and charming product. Macarons, although quintessentially French, are now becoming more and more popular worldwide, with sights set to become "the new cupcake". The light, delicate and hand crafted sweet treats in a variety of bright and pastel colours are not only beautiful to look at, but made with almond and french meringue, are also beautiful to eat. 'La Petite Macaron', to me, conjures up images of a small, yet perfectly formed, boutique flagship patisserie with elegance and character, and a proposed, hypothetical brand and company I am very much looking forward to expanding upon and developing throughout the next couple of weeks.
