FMP | Researching Low - Run UV Spot Varnishing

This evening I spent some time researching low - run Spot UV varnish printing for the outcomes and print deliverables for the Alex Warren Architecture brief.

Due to the fact that the client has both a restrictive budget (due to being a student), and also will solely (at this point) be using his business cards and letterheads for the sake of interviews, he has requested a low run, which, realistically, would be incredibly difficult to source from a professional printers at a reasonably low price. Therefore, I will be producing the printed stationary by hand, and started to research several methods to produce a spot varnish effect.
Although I initially thought that a screen printing method would be most effective, the source that seemed most promising was using a matt spray varnish through a stencil design on the the printed stock.

After discussions and a brief meeting with Alex next week, I hope to propose this to him and hopefully to get the designs produced and the brief completed asap.
