Researching painted edge business cards from blog, Card Dsgn, for the professional print development and production of my own designs for the Paul Danks Property Development additional Final Major Project brief.
Unlike duplexing, edge painting on duplex business cards ensures that the colour is dense and rich (unlike the sandwiched colour designs), as well as being able to easily transform printed white card into a wide variety of colours, often matching the colour palette of designs and contact information throughout the card itself.
For Paul's cards I hope to create a metallic silver edge, to match the metallic silver on white screen printed cards for a subtle, yet professional and luxurious looking finish.
