FMP | John Lewis Living Room




Spending some time this morning researching wider markets for the development of the proposed, hypothetical Laura Ashley S / S 2013 Home Interiors Collection brief that Steph and I will be working on together to both design (from a printed textiles and surface pattern design perspective), promote, and brand.

I decided to look at John's Lewis' website for an example of how they showcase their products and document them online. Although the website itself is reasonably clear and easy to navigate, the products themselves aren't shown that effectively or in a wider situ, as on the Laura Ashley site, as well as other previously researched, such as the Cath Kidston, and this is something that Steph and I will certainly take into consideration when documenting our own work.

No matter how successful and considered our print, pattern and design, if it isn't documented and presented as effectively as possible, it may be a little disappointing for our final mock ups and portfolio shoot.
