FMP | Floral Photography

-

Throughout the design development for the hypothetical Laura Ashley S / S 2013 Home Interiors Collection brief, Steph and I have discussed the notion of not only drawing from photographic images to develop the print and pattern, but also to replicate these photographs within an editorial lookbook / catalogue for the design range.

Once we have come together in a meeting (planned for tomorrow) and discussed the finer details of the design development, such as the focused colour palette, which flowers to use as studies, etc., we can research sourcing the flowers and then, hopefully, having the intention of setting up a photographic studio to shoot the images.

Again, at this point it is undecided whether we will create mock up sets for the images, create abstract arrangements, or simply go for a more classic close-up detail shot, so, as shown above and below, are some examples below, sourced from Pinterest boards which I think convey the real elegance and beauty that is so well suited to the Laura Ashley brand, and the design range we propose to produce.
