FMP | Exhibition (Signage & Wayfinding)

Emily Carr Degree 2011 Exhibition Design

Throughout the Geek Table Collective brief, an integral part of our design work will be executed for our key focus of the May - time exhibition, whereupon the body of varied design work (both image - based and typographic) will be showcased in a gallery setting, curated alongside Emily Ward, a third year Fine Art student who has very kindly agreed to collaborate with us.

The designs to be included will be promotional media (both print- based and web - based), wayfinding and signage for the event, all of which will be bold, consistent, and representative of both the Geek Table as a collective, and for each of it's designers, as separate entities.

Shown above and below are sourced projects (via Behance), which I feel are particularly effective in regards to the visual communication of the subject matter / artists and designers of which the exhibition is showcasing, a particular favourite of which, for Emily Carr (linked above), which uses bold photographic imagery and subtle, contemporary type, which to me is full of intrigue and consideration, yet still ensures that her body of work "does the talking".
