Leeds College of Art Year Book | Laser Cut Cover & Images

Yesterday we were really fortunate, as a group, to have a very productive working day, with each of us assigned to our own tasks and focus of design development for the day in preparation for tomorrow's concept pitch submission and the presentation for Thursday.

Whilst I was focused on the yearbook and CD submission covers/type, along with contributing with photography and editing (albeit a little more rushed than usual) and proposals for the initial concept for the design and layout. Kirsty Alderson and Kirsty Hardingham focused on their student profile pages and mail out deliverables, and Claudia Griffin worked hard on putting together tutor quote pages, as well as the presentation boards themselves which will prove essential for the submission.

I was really happy to go down to laser cut in the morning to make the cover, as it's something I haven't done for a while, and always look forward to new ways to develop design with creative print finishes, and was kindly assisted by two students from the BA (Hons) Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design programme, Liz Smith and Lucy Palmer.

Considering the time frame we have been working to, I'm really pleased with the outcome that we have achieved, and look forward to what I hope will be a very successful pitch.
