Researching type as image design for inspiration for the potential image- based projects as part of the fortnightly projects to develop the Geek Table portfolio (online) and to develop work for the proposed exhibition.
Inspired by the previous image module, carried out last year, I developed a particular interest in typography through type as image, creating character and playfulness through the creative application and use of type throughout images, creating a bridge between the two disciplines.
Shown below are some of my favourite examples documented online, which I have taken influence from in the past, particularly documenting the portfolio and work of Craig Ward, Alex Trochut and Jessica Hische.
